“Few debut novels pack the punch of a seasoned professional, but Dark Justice does just that. Visceral, complex, and riveting, here is a story that spans time and pushes the genre’s boundaries. Kept me reading until the early morning hours.”
James Rollins, New York Times bestselling author of The Last Oracle

Two hundred years ago, a runaway slave calls upon the gods of his people seeking vengeance against his murderous master. After a strange but wondrous secret ceremony, the gods send their most fearsome servant, the Eater of Hearts, to Earth—with a mission to assure justice is served.
In 1991, paramedic Galen Morris responds to an emergency call involving an old friend, a retired anthropology professor named Albert Gaston. With his dying breath, Gaston begs him to deliver a box to a former colleague. But Galen cannot resist the temptation to look inside, and releases a terrifying relic from the past.
After two hundred years, the Eater of Hearts is once again free, and Galen is running for his life. His only hope is Gaston’s colleague, Professor Paxon, who is hundreds of miles away. Together with his beautiful partner, Audra, he must seek out Paxon and pray the professor has an answer.
There is no time to sleep. Or eat. Or breathe. The Eater of Hearts is coming…

    Hello Mr Light
I am a nurse and I work with your cousin Debbie at Rosecrance in Rockford. She invited me to look at your website and check out your novel. From what I read on the site I am hooked already.
I am African-American and the way your story line will tie into a situation of a slave looking for justice has really peaked my interest.
I will be picking up your novel this weekend.Be blessed.

Thank you for the kind words, Carrie.
A new printing of the book is currently underway, simply fixing some typos and grammatical issues in the previous version. If you try to order on Amazon, it may tell you it’s temporarily unavailable. Should be ready in just a few days.
Also, I will be visiting the Winnebago Library on Saturday, February 27th at 2pm. I will have copies available there and would love to meet you!
      God Bless,
